That same year Backstreet Boys went on a 60-city, 20 country tour. In 1999, Backstreet Boys received a diamond award for having sold over 10 million copies for their self entitled album.

In 1999, Backstreet Boys released Millennium and it was a huge success, and sold 1,134,000 copies in the first week, and sold 9,445,732 records for the year.
